I’m reminded of this quote by Yan every time I capture a mother, a father, a child, a family. When it comes to capturing life, I love to mix posed and unposed. I may suggest a pose and then offer you a silly prompt that evokes a natural laughter and a smile. I may notice a special connection between siblings and focus on them for a frame. My shooting philosophy—to observe, to read the room, the family dynamics, and then figure out how to best tell the story.

  • Does it cost to have you travel?

    I charge a travel fee of .50 cents per mile up to one hour outside of Cleveland.

  • Do you have a studio that you use?

    Not my own—yet! I currently rent studio space when needed.

  • for outdoor sessions, is there a time of day you recommend shooting? what about indoor sessions?

    Absolutely! During the warmer months, I most of ten suggest golden hour—that hour just before the sunset. The light is golden and even and just so magical.

    During winter, we can shoot anytime time of day. If the sun is intense, I may recommend we push our session till later in the day to avoid any intense light that can cause harsh shadows.

    Indoor sessions can be planned for any time of day. I shoot primarily next to windows and with natural window light, so I’ll ask you if there’s a time of day you notice your home gets great light, we’ll plan for that!
